چکیده
Coastal zones are considered to be highly vulnerable the effects of climate change, such as erosion, flooding, and storms, including sea level rise (SLR). The rising levels endanger several nations, Indonesia, it potentially affects coastal population natural environment. Quantification is needed determine degree vulnerability experienced by a coast since measuring fundamental phase towards effective risk reduction. Therefore, main objective this research identify how zone Bali Province develop Vulnerability Index (CVI) areas exposed sea-level on regional scales using remote sensing Geographic Information System (GIS) approaches. This study was conducted in Province, which has beach length ~640 km, six parameters were creation measure CVI: geomorphology, shoreline change rate, elevation, tidal range, significant wave height. different assigned ranks ranging from 1 5, with indicating lowest 5 highest vulnerabilities. revealed that about 138 km (22%) mapped classified being at very high 164 (26%) vulnerability. Of remaining shoreline, 168 169 moderate low vulnerability, respectively. outcomes can provide an updated map valuable information for coast, aimed increasing awareness among decision-makers related stakeholders development mitigation adaptation strategies. Additionally, result may utilized basic data build implement appropriate management.

Analysis of seismic vulnerability using remote sensing and GIS techniques
This paper presents a framework to integrate several sources of spatial information to derive a map of seismic vulnerability for the city of Arica, Chile, which has been historically affected by this natural hazard. The proposed method is based on generating a geographical database with different variables that are related to human activity, considering factors of potential reduction and increa...
متن کاملInland wetlands mapping and vulnerability assessment using an integrated geographic information system and remote sensing techniques
The understanding of inland wetlands’ distribution and their level of vulnerability is important to enhance management and conservation efforts. The aim of the study was to map inland wetlands and assess their distribution pattern and vulnerability to natural and human disturbances such as climate change (temperature increase) and human activities by the year 2080. Inland wetland types i.e. for...

متن کاملSeismic Vulnerability Assessment Using Field Survey and Remote Sensing Techniques
In this paper, a seismic vulnerability assessment at large scale is described, within the SIMURAI project. A field survey was carried out in order to gather detailed information about geometric characteristics, structural typology and age of construction of each single building. An airborne Remote Sensing (RS) mission was also carried out over the municipality of Avellino, providing a detailed ...
متن کاملTsunami Vulnerability Mapping Using Remote Sensing and GIS Techniques: A Case Study of Kollam District, Kerala, India
Tsunamis are caused by the displacement of a large volume of water, generally in an ocean or a sea. Earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and other underwater explosions, landslides, glacier calvings, meteorite impacts and other disturbances above or below water have the potential to generate a tsunami. The coastal areas of Kollam district, the present study area was seriously affected by the catastr...
